Expanding Financial Literacy Footprint
Financial decisions are critical life decisions. The Azaland Project sees the advocacy as life-saving and urgent movement. Globally, the level of financial literacy is not impressive, most especially in Africa. Hence, the primary focus is Africa.
Based on factual statistics, averagely 33 percent of adults worldwide are financially literate. This means that at least 3.5 billion adults globally, most of them in developing economies, lack an understanding of basic financial concepts. According to S&P's Global Financial Literacy Survey, African countries score the worst in terms of financial literacy in the world. Hence the urgency and priority of Africa.
The Azaland Project, through a 10-year roadmap, plans to expand reach and partner with critical stakeholders like schools, NGOs, governments and others to promote the message.
In line with the vision and mission, the individuals, communities, nation and the entire planet benefits when everyone makes sound financial decisions.
This is a noble cause to identify with.
Knowledge is power; financial literacy knowledge is ultimate power.
