Gamification & The Azaland Project
The Azaland Project employs the knowledge-first approach in our global financial literacy advocacy movement. To administer the finance education needed by the people, we employed the gamification system in our learning and knowledgebase community, Azaland. Here, members are automatically rewarded with Aza βGemsβ as they perform five major activities:
Sign-ups (J2E, Join to Earn),
Contributions (C2E, Contribute to Earn: comments, answering questions),
Copy-writing (W2E, Write to Earn),
Referrals/advocacy (R2E, Refer to Earn) and
Course learning and completion (L2E, Learn to Earn) - on Azademy, our developing, app-based, modular financial literacy education courses.
Gamification here has many benefits: it motivates the community for more engagements and contributions, improves knowledge retention through active learning and repetition, and encourages self-paced and active learning - much needed for an effective, global financial literacy education project.
